  • Destination: Ho Chi Minh city – Cu Chi tunnels – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho – Nam Cat Tien park – Da Lat – Hoi An – Hue – Ha Noi – Lao Cai – Coc Ly market – Sapa – Ha Long Bay.

Itinerary :

Day 1:  Ho Chi Minh city & arrival
  • Arrive to Tan Son Nhat airport. Pick up and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at your proposed hotel in Ho Chi Minh
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh city & Cu Chi tunnels (B/L/_)

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Start a sightseeing tour to the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of the war in April 1975, and some French colonial structures including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Central Post Office. Depart for Cu Chi tunnels, an underground network of tunnels constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation, etc. and were used as a military base for the Vietcong during the American war

  • Return Ho Chi Minh city, After seeing the Emperor Jade Pagoda and the War Remnants Museum, we end the city tour with Ben Thanh market where anything and everything is for sale. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at your proposed hotel in Ho Chi Minh
 Day 3 : Hochiminh – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B/L/_)
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Leave Ho Chi Minh city, enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields. On arrival at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shade of water coconut trees along natural canals. Have a short cycling tour , then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music", performed by the locals.

  • Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantations and villages.

  • Proceed to Can Tho. After check in the hotel, walking around the village to explore local people’s daily life and chat with them.

Day 4: Can Tho – Cai Rang – Ho Chi Minh ( B/L/_ )
  • Early morning, Take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong river (Bassac River), then proceed to visit Cai Răng floating market which are the liveliest in the whole religion. Return the hotel for having breakfast. Have you ever tasted Vietnamese vermicelli soup? Well, now go and see how it is made. Then wander around the village and meet the friendly local people and experience how to cross a "Monkey bridge" which is built by only o­ne stem of bamboo.

  • Visit the orchard garden.

  • Stop for lunch.

  • Back to HCM city.

Day 5: Ho Chi Minh – Nam Cat Tien National park (B/L/_)
  • Breakfast at the hotel. After leaving the busy city of Ho Chi Minh City (Sai Gon), turning off the National Highway 20 leads visitors to a mountainous area full of roadside plantations of rubber and green coffee. A short, smooth 150 km bus ride takes visitors to a former volcanic crater, known as Lava tubes. Crossing the Dong Nai River to enter the Cat Tien National Park enables visitors begin their wildlife experience.

  • Afternoon, we do a three hour trekking to through the Reserved Core Area. We will see many kinds of hundreds of years old trees. Then return to the center for dinner. Highlight: Two-hour night cruise in to the jungle, in a jeep, allows visitor to enjoy the feelings of watching wild animals drinking and hearing the calls of rhinoceros. Overnight in Nam Cat Tien park.

Day 6: Nam Cat Tien National park – Da Lat (B/L/_)

  • Visitors wake up to the nice songs of native birds. Breakfast prepares them for another four-hour trekking to see the Crocodiles swamp and back to the head quarter for lunch. Then leaving for Da Lat by private car.

Day 7: Da Lat city sightseeing by motorbike (B/L/_)
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Driven to Datanla trekking area. We start the trek through the pine forest down to the stream. The trek goes through the green jungle and offers to see as many as 7 waterfalls, some of them are good for swimming, so do not forget your swimming clothes.

  • We trek about 6 km along the stream, through the jungle and have to cross the stream a few times. The morning hiking will take about 3 hours, then transfer back to your hotel for changing clothes. Driving to Tuyen Lam Lake, take a sightseeing the beautiful scenery of Tuyen Lam Lake by  boat. Then visit  the old Da Lat Railway Station, Hang Nga crazy house, Dalat Flower Garden. View the sight of Da Lat suburb gardener of Trai Mat village with the most impresive of Linh Phuoc pagoda architecture. Visit the organic weasel coffee farm.  The  last  stop is Central Market for  shopping.

Day 8:  Da Lat – Da Nang – Hoi An (B/_/_)
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Free until transfer to the airport for boarding the flight VN1954 to Da Nang (14.00 – 15.20). Pick up and transfer to Hoi An ancient town.

Day 11: Hoi An – Da Nang – Hue – Ha Noi (B/L/D)
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Hue via Da Nang. On the way, visit the Marble mountain, the Cham museum and China Beach. Over Hai Van Pass – to enjoy the wonderful panorama from the top of the Pass. In the afternoon, Visit the royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, and the ruins of the Purple Forbidden City.

  • Visit Dong Ba market and enjoy Bun Bo a special dish of local people before transferring to the airport for boarding the flight VN1544 to Ha Noi (21.15 – 22.25).

  • Pick up and transfer to your hotel.

Day 12: Ha Noi city – Lao Cai (B/L/D)

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we enjoy a full day city tour of this charming capital city including the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh,the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the impressive Ethnologic Museum, the beautiful West Lake, the Tran Vu Pagoda, the peaceful lake of the Restored Sword. Late afternoon we take a cyclo tour for a short excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Enjoy a glass of "Bia Hoi - draught beer " at Ta Hien Street before enjoying the traditional water puppet show.

  • Visit the night market and having dinner at Ngon restaurant

  • 20: 00 pm - Pick up and transfer to Hanoi railway station for boarding the Express Train to Laocai.

  • Overnight in an air-conditioned soft sleeper wooden cabin.

Day 13: Lao Cai – Coc Ly market – Sapa ( B/ L/ _) Tuesday
  • Meeting your local tour guide and driver upon arrival. Transfer to a local restaurant for having breakfast. Then visit CocLy market, which is situated far from Sapa. Enjoy the peaceful life of 6 different minority peoples (Flower H'mong, Black Dzao, Tay, Dzay, HaNhi and Nung). The market is the chance for the minorities to meet and share joy and sorrows after the crops, to exchange one another's experience. Say goodbye to the market and get down onto a boat along Chay river. You are bound to feel great and find yourselves smaller among high rock mountains and to be surprised at white and breathtakingly waterfalls. The Fairy Cave is located deeply in the rocks. Get off the boat to visit a village of the Tay Minority (TrungDo village) by the river. After the boat trip, visit a small town – Bao Nhai.

  • Proceed to Sapa.

Day 14 : Sapa – Cat Cat – Sin Chai -  Giang TaChai - Lao Cai (B/L/_)
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Trekking around 6 km to visit two villages of the Black H’mong (CatCat and SinChai). After lunch, visit the Red Dzao in GiangTaChai village, stopping off to see a picturesque waterfall and suspension bridge. Walk up to the road and take the jeep back to Sapa.

  • Transfer to Laocai train station for boarding the Express to Hanoi (20:15 – 5:00).

  • Dinner on guest’s account.

  • Overnight in an air-conditioned soft sleeper wooden cabin.

Day 15: return Hanoi – Halong (_/L/D)
  • Arrive to the train station around 05.00am. Pick up and transfer to a mini hotel  for taking rest.

  • At 8.00am, pick up at your hotel. Depart to Halong, enjoy the peaceful scenery as we travel through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta.

  • 10H00: Stopover on the way for a refreshment break

  • 12h00: Arrive at Tuan Chau wharf – Break and photography time

  • 12h30: Board the Cruises for departure. Welcome drink will be served

  • 13h00: Lunch is served while cruising through the bay

  • 15h30: Visit exciting Cua Van fishing village. The village is free of busy roads and streets, electric lights, houses and high rise buildings. Instead, there are only herds of little boats and rafts. You will have the chance to discover the traditional culture and customs of the fishermen.

  • 16h30: Enjoy kayaking or swimming (if the weather permits).

  • 17h00: Back on board and continue cruising to Drum Cave (Hang Trong) to dock.

  • 19h00: Dinner is served.

  •  21h00: Take some leisure time to enjoy chatting at the bar or enjoy some night fishing.

Day 16: Halong – Hanoi & departure (B/L/_)

  • 09h00: Check out and  enjoy a fantastic cruise on the bay, passing Dinh Huong Island, fishing villages, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island and Sail Island.

  • 09.30: Buffet brunch (breakfast/lunch) while cruising back through Halong Bay to the pier

  • 11h30: Arrive at the pier. Time to say goodbye to the crew.

  • 12.00: Return from Halong to Hanoi.

  • 14h00: Stop over in Dong Trieu town to visit a ceramics workshop.

  • 16.00: Arrive in Hanoi.

Sapa Trible Villages and Bac Ha Market tour, Joining some thousands tribal peoples from different ethnic groups in their colorful traditional costumes who gather at regional markets for their most important event of the week, you will quickly absorbed by festive atmosphere and understand the important role of these markets in spiritual life of local ethnic peoples. This is a can-not-be-missed experience offered by our Sapa Market Excursions which are made for those who are interested in discovering new cultures and especially for photo hunters.Get started: (Thursday) Hanoi - Laocai

 

  • 20:00 pm - Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Hanoi railway station to board the express train to Laocai.

Day 1 (Friday) Sapa Town's Highlights -  Ta Phin Village (B/L/D)


  • Meet your Sapa tour guide and driver upon your arrival to Lao Cai Station. Transfer uphill the Hoang Lien Son mountains to Sapa with some stop for over viewing of stunning valleys and terraced rice fields along the way.

  • After Breakfast your guide will show you around for a brief introduction of this charming town. At the market, ethnic minority people of different groups wearing their traditional costumes made by themselves comes every day selling local products includes vegetable, bamboo shoot, mushroom, medicinal herbs and souvenirs...there are chances to get intact and taking photos. Later you will follow the footsteps uphill to the top of Ham Rong Mountain for over viewing beautiful scenery of the town and surrounding area, paying visit to an orchard garden and a mini museum which tells you a lot about ethnic minority people living in Sa Pa and the northwest region.

  • After Lunch, transfer 14km to the center of Ta Phin valley, then you will enjoy an easy walk following village path, paying visit to some H'mong hamlets scattering from the bottom of the valley to higher mountain slopes. From high elevation, great view of the valley stretching under your foot. Continue your walk to the Red Zao village in which you will meet groups of women making handicrafts includes embroidered clothes, handbags...

  • Transfer back to Sa Pa in late afternoon and the rest hours is at your leisure.

  • Overnight in Sapa.


Day 2 (Saturday) Tribal Village Exploration in Muong Hoa Valley (B/L/D)


  • Today you will spend the whole day exploring the spectacular Muong Hoa. A Jeep will take us out of the town, following the only road built on the side of a mountain range, looking down the valley, over viewing magnificent landscapes composed of high mountains, deep valleys, and stream of water winding, waterfalls and terraced rice paddies...Many time, leaving the main road, you will visit tribal villages such as Ta Van of the Zay, Su Pan of the Black H'mong, Ban Ho of the Tay...there are chances for meeting and contacting locals at home and at works. We leave Ban Ho in late afternoon for a drive back to Sapa.

  • Evening is at your leisure.

  • Overnight in Sapa.


Day 3 (Sunday) Full day joining the famous Bac Ha Market (B/L/D)


  • Every day always begins very early in Vietnam. Especially on Sunday in Bac Ha. You will be waken up, having Breakfast and check out your hotel early before seven.

  • Leaving Sapa at 07.00 for a transfer 3 hours down hill to Lao Cai and later uphill to Bac Ha. As you get close to The market, you will see lot of Flower H'mong with their horses loading with selling's along the way. Arriving at the most crowded time of the market you will join some thousands local tribal peoples such as Flower H'mong, Tay, Zao and Phu La who are in their colorful traditional dresses shoping, talking, enjoying food...The most colorful part is clothes section while the most interesting ones probably the food stalls and animal market. Be noted that the small animals such as chicken, piggy... are sold in narrow ground at the main market place but buffaloes, horses market lies about 3 hundred meters away near the main motor way.

  • Some hours getting excited with the market activities and festive atmosphere, Lunch will be served in a local restaurant with set menu and you may try H'mong home made corn wine.

  • Afternoon will be highlighted with a short walk around Ban Pho Village of the Flower H'mong and Tay peoples which includes some small hamlets set amongst lush plump gardens, terraced paddies and mountain back drops for a local breath. Then transfer to Laocai station for boarding the night train to Hanoi.

  • Overnight in an air-conditioned soft sleeper cabin.

Sapa Explorer and Remote Cao Son Market Tour


Get started: (Monday) Hanoi - Laocai


  • 20: 00 pm - Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Hanoi railway station to board the express train to Laocai. Overnight in an air-conditioned soft sleeper cabin.


Day 1 (Tuesday) Lao Cai - Cao Son  Market (B/L/D)


  • Upon arrival to Lao Cai station early morning, you will meet your local tour guide and driver and enjoy breakfast in a restaurant nearby. Freshen up and heading along the road to Muong Khuong district which weaves its way up and down hills of the tea plantation and pine trees. It gets wilder and greener with thick forest and small tribal villages scattering isolated on slopes of the mountains as you get close to Cao Son Commune. You will enjoy much of the scenery which is marvelous and changes very fast after every bend. Arriving in Cao Son almost at noon, checking in the Lodge where you will stay overnight, take a rest or wandering around breathing fresh air.

  • Afternoon is for walking to explore tribal villages nearby for a discovery of tribal culture, custom and self subsidiary way of life of different ethnic minorities. Overnight at Cao Son Eco Lodge.


Day 2 (Wednesday) Cao Son Market -Sapa (B/L/D)


  • Today is the market day in Cao Son and you will spend the whole morning to take part in this weekly event. The village seems to wake up after a week staying peacefully. People from different tribal groups such as H'mong, Zao, Nung, Pa Di, Tu Di...wearing their traditional costumes converge to the market place on foot, motorcycles and horses. Many comes from remote villages, near the border and have to start their journey even from midnight. Joining the market, you will soon get the feeling of local, cheerful faces every where. Commodities for sale at the market is rich, from home produces such as fruit, vegetable, chili, ginger, smelled medicinal herbs, mushroom, bamboo shoot, corn wine, local handicraft, animals includes pigs, chicken, dogs, cats... to farming tools as hoes, plough shares, spades, knives...

  • You are leaving the market and Cao Son after Lunch for a drive to Lao Cai and then uphill to Sapa through a scenic region. Arriving in Sapa at your hotel in the afternoon and the rest of the day is set free for you to wander around charming Sapa town. Overnight in Sapa.


Day 3 (Thursday) Sapa Tribal Village walk to Ma Tra & Ta Phin (B/L/D)


  • Lying on the south of Sa Pa town, this vast valley composes of 3 chambers surrounded by high mountains with thick forest at the top and terraced rice paddies from lower slopes stretching to the bottom. It is home to the Black H'mong and the Red Zao ethnic minority who live in wooden houses scattering here and there.

  • Starting from Sa Pa with your guide, you will follow a trail running through fruit and orchard gardens, lush pine forests to a Black Hmong ethnic minority village named Matra, isolated away from the civilization. Chickens, water buffalos, pot - belly pigs and piggy everywhere, some locals will be happy to invite us to their home which offers chances to see their dwellings, weavings on belly looms to makes traditional costumes out of hemp fiber...Our path weaves itself up and down hills, through valleys with terraced rice fields which create spectacular landscapes. After picnic Lunch, we get to Ta Phin Commune where the Black H'mong and the Red Zao live together. It is very interesting to realize culture assimilation: Which can be mixed, which can not! At the end of the footpath, our Jeep is waiting for us for the return journey to Sapa.

  • Overnight in Sapa.


Day 4 (Friday) Visit Lao Chai & Ta Van Village (B/L)


  • Today morning, you will explore the spectacular Muong Hoa. A Jeep will take us out of the town, following the only road built on the side of a mountain range, looking down the valley, over viewing magnificent landscapes composed of high mountains, deep valleys, and stream of water winding, waterfalls and terraced rice paddies...walking trail can be seen clearly from the road winding up and down hills on the other side of Muong Hoa River to connect village to villages...

  • Our suggested walk starts from Lao Chai village of the H'mong along the river to Ta Van, the Zay village. Our Jeep will pick us up at Ta Van Bridge and drive back to Sa Pa at noon.

  • Afternoon is at your leisure for wandering Sa Pa town and market until late afternoon transfer to Lao Cai station for taking the night train to Hanoi.

  • Overnight in an air-conditioned soft sleeper cabin.
